The House Project--Part 2

Hey guys. Here's another house illustration I did recently on commission for a friend. After seeing the last one I did, he thought having something similar done of his house would make a nice gift. So, here it is. But don't think I've found my new niche and this is all you'll be seeing...I'll have some "original" stuff up soon.

  • These house pics of yours are instantly eye-grabbing, and I think I could stare at all the detail for hours. I'm sure your "original stuff" will be as good or better as it always is, but you should know that I'm coming to you for a commission when I get a house of my own.

  • Same here! I'd love to have a picture of the house I grew up in in this style. So much detail! It looks like it woul dget very tedious very fast, though. Statis shapes never excite me.

  • Thanks! Yeah, Laura, that's kinda how I feel--I need a little action in my illustrations to make it more fun. The good thing, though, is that with each one I do, I feel I'm learning more. And Mel, this took roughly about 15-20 hours to do. Glad you liked my textures! It's one thing I'm trying to expand on and you'll see more of it in the next one I post.

  • I stillt hink because of your style you've made what could be just a picture of a house into something really interesting and beautiful. I love the trees and just how CLEAN everythng is, nothing gets lost even with the insane detail.
