Dragon Rose

I am properly shamed, cause I'm completely burned out on Daemonfire illustrations. I've been working on stuff for 6 months. But my next novel I'm tackling is The Dragon Rose, which I plan to do in colored pencil. I' m hoping I can alternate between medias. But who knows? I've got a few scraps of Dragon Rose concept for ya'll though. Nothing too impressive.

  • These are AWESOME (yes, all caps)! I love the colored pencil, especially when you don't use any ink for outlines. Of the three you have, I think the dragon is my favorite and I very much dig the northwest Native American designs in the wings.

That top wolf sketch only reinforces just how much I love your character design and costume skillz. You know I've framed that samurai wolf sketch that you gave me in San Diego? Keep up the great work, and have a wonderful Christmas break!

  • Mala looks like serious business. I think it is quite impressive, so stfu! The claw-hand, wow. and the teeeeeths...

I think my favorite of the three designs is the... buck? Sorry I don't quite know what kind of buck it is besides being a spiritual one. I think the colors brought me into it, like the vibrating play of the grey and the bright green. I'm biased to green too.

These are all really lovely, though! Good thing you have lots of ideas so you can never really get burnt out on something :3
